Zyeta, a premier workplace design and build firm in Hyderabad, is seeking a Senior Billing Engineer – MEP to manage vendor/subcontractor billing, BOQ validation, and material reconciliation for interior fit-out and Design & Build projects.

You will work with Project Managers, MEP and site teams to ensure accurate billing, quantity certification and proper project documentation. 5–7 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in MEP Billing, quantity surveying or project billing.
• Strong understanding of BOQ, take-off, site measurement and rate analysis.
• Hands-on experience in vendor/subcontractor bill verification and certification.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify vendor and subcontractor bills against PO/WO, BOQ and rates.
• Conduct site measurements for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other MEP systems.
• Control quantities and values; ensure written approvals for non-BOQ works.
• Verify MIRs, delivery challans and material reconciliation before certification.
• Prepare final bill certification and support project closure.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Billing Engineer – MEP to manage vendor and subcontractor billing, quantity verification, site measurements, BOQ validation, material reconciliation and commercial documentation for MEP works across commercial interior fit-out and Design & Build projects.

The role will work closely with Project Managers, MEP teams, site teams, commercial teams, vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate billing, quantity certification and proper project documentation.

What You Will Do

Vendor & Subcontractor Bill Verification

• Review and verify running bills, COPs and final bills submitted by MEP vendors and subcontractors.
• Validate bills against approved PO/WO, BOQ, agreed rates and payment terms.
• Verify actual site execution before certifying quantities.
• Ensure cumulative billing does not exceed approved quantities or values without appropriate approval.
• Identify duplicate, incorrect or overlapping quantities.

MEP Measurement & Quantity Verification

• Conduct and verify physical site measurements for:
• HVAC and air-conditioning
• Ducting and VRF/VRV systems
• Electrical works, lighting and power
• LT panels and DBs
• Cable trays, trunking, cabling and wiring
• Plumbing and sanitary works
• Water supply and drainage
• Fire protection and firefighting systems
• BMS and ELV systems
• Networking, wherever applicable
• Verify vendor measurement sheets against actual site execution.
• Ensure measurements are accurately linked to approved BOQs and supporting drawings.

BOQ & Quantity Control

• Verify quantities against approved BOQ and PO/WO.
• Track cumulative quantities and values.
• Verify variation and additional quantities.
• Ensure written approval is available for additional or non-BOQ works.
• Review rate analysis for non-tender items.
• Verify supporting invoices wherever required.

Material Verification & Reconciliation

• Verify MIRs for MEP materials.
• Check delivery challans and material delivery records.
• Verify supplied materials against installed quantities.
• Ensure all supplied materials are properly accounted for before certification.

Technical Documentation Verification

• Verify PO/WO, approved BOQ, detailed measurement sheets and BOQ summaries.
• Review marked-up drawings, shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Verify MIRs, DCs, technical data sheets, test certificates and inspection reports.
• Review testing & commissioning reports, material reconciliation statements, O&M manuals, asset lists and warranty certificates.
• Verify applicable testing and commissioning documentation for:
• HVAC systems
• Electrical systems
• Plumbing systems
• Fire protection and firefighting systems
• BMS and controls
• Ensure applicable systems are tested and commissioned before final certification.

Final Bill Certification & Project Closure

• Review cumulative quantities and final reconciliation.
• Ensure all measurement discrepancies are resolved.
• Close pending site verification and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for corrected bills and missing documents.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and site teams for final confirmation.
• Support final certification, COP and NOC documentation.

What We Are Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in MEP Billing, Quantity Surveying or Project Billing.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in commercial interior fit-out / Design & Build projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and execution.
• Hands-on experience in vendor/subcontractor bill verification and certification.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, site measurement and rate analysis.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial understanding.
