Job summary

Zyeta is seeking a Senior Billing Engineer – C&I to manage vendor/subcontractor billing, quantity verification, BOQ validation and related commercial documentation for commercial interior fit-out and Design & Build projects. You will certify bills based on executed quantities, approved BOQs, PO/WO terms and rates, coordinating with Project Managers and site teams for timely closure.

The role requires 5–7 years of interior fit-out billing experience, a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, and strong

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in interior fit-out billing, quantity surveying or commercial functions.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor/subcontractor billing and bill certification.
• Good understanding of BOQ, quantity measurement and rate analysis.
• Hands-on experience with commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Strong coordination with vendors, subcontractors, Project Managers and site teams.

About the Role

Zyeta is looking for a Senior Billing Engineer – C&I to manage vendor and subcontractor billing, quantity verification, measurements, BOQ validation and commercial documentation for commercial interior fit-out and Design & Build projects.

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate certification of vendor bills based on executed quantities, approved BOQs, PO/WO terms, agreed rates and supporting documentation. The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial Teams, vendors and subcontractors to ensure billing accuracy and timely project closure.

What You Will Do

Vendor Bill Verification

• Review and verify vendor and subcontractor running and final bills.
• Validate bills against approved PO/WO, BOQ, agreed rates and payment terms.
• Verify executed quantities through physical site measurements.
• Ensure only completed and measurable works are certified for payment.
• Identify duplicate, excess, overlapping or incorrect measurements.

Measurement & Quantity Verification

• Conduct physical measurements for Civil and Interior works.
• Verify vendor measurement sheets against actual site execution.
• Check dimensions, calculations, locations and quantities.
• Link measurement sheets with the approved BOQ and maintain accurate Excel-based quantity records.
• Verify measurements against approved drawings and marked-up drawings.
• Verify BOQ quantities and rates against approved PO/WO.
• Identify excess quantities and obtain required approvals before certification.
• Verify approved variation orders and additional works.
• Ensure unapproved rate escalation is not considered in billing.

Material Verification & Reconciliation

• Verify Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) for supplied materials.
• Ensure payment is not certified for uninstalled materials unless permitted under approved PO/WO terms.
• Verify material reconciliation statements and supporting Delivery Challans.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure required documentation is available before final bill certification, including:
• PO/WO
• Approved BOQ and BOQ Summary
• Detailed Measurement Sheets
• Measurement Breakup Sheets
• Marked-up Measurement Drawings
• MIRs
• Delivery Challans / DCs
• Approved Shop Drawings
• As-Built Drawings
• Approved Variation / Change Orders
• Asset Lists, wherever applicable
• Verify final bills and cumulative quantities.
• Close pending measurements and billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors for corrections and missing documentation.
• Prepare final certification details.
• Support NOC/COP requirements as per company process.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and relevant stakeholders for final confirmation before invoice generation.

What We Are Looking For

• 5-7 years of experience in Interior Fit-out Billing, Quantity Surveying or Commercial functions.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor/subcontractor billing and bill certification.
• Good understanding of BOQ, quantity measurement and rate analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with commercial interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong knowledge of Civil and Interior execution quantities.
• Ability to independently verify measurements and identify billing discrepancies.
• Strong coordination skills with vendors, subcontractors, Project Managers and site teams.
• High attention to detail and strong commercial understanding.
