Job summary

Zyeta, an integrated workspace design-and-build company, seeks a Quality Control Lead – Mechanical to drive technical quality, design validation and execution standards across HVAC, Fire Protection Systems and PHE/Plumbing.

You will coordinate with MEP, Design, Project, Consultant, Contractor and Vendor teams to ensure mechanical services are designed, coordinated and executed as per approved standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering degree in Mechanical (B.E./B.Tech).
• 7–8 years in Mechanical MEP Design / Technical Quality Assurance.
• 8–10+ years in Construction / Site Execution / Quality Control.

Responsibilities

• Review Mechanical MEP design drawings, specs and calculations.
• Validate HVAC calculations: heat load, duct sizing, piping, equipment selection.
• Review FPS and PHE/Plumbing designs and hydraulic calculations.
• Audit BIM models, clash detection and 2D CAD coordination.
• Raise NCRs, conduct root-cause analysis and drive CAPA closure.
• Lead and monitor TAB activities and system commissioning.

About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Control Lead – Mechanical to drive technical quality, design validation and execution standards across HVAC, Fire Protection Systems (FPS) and PHE/Plumbing.

The role will work closely with MEP, Design, Project, Consultant, Contractor and Vendor teams to ensure Mechanical services are designed, coordinated and executed as per approved standards, codes and project requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience across both design review and site execution, with the ability to identify technical gaps, challenge non-compliances and drive timely closure.

What You Will Do

Design & Technical Quality

• Review Mechanical MEP design drawings, specifications and engineering calculations.
• Validate HVAC calculations including heat load, duct sizing, pump head, water flow and equipment selection.
• Review FPS and PHE/Plumbing designs and hydraulic calculations.
• Audit Revit/BIM models, clash detection and 2D CAD coordination.
• Review BOQs, equipment schedules, TDS and vendor submittals.
• Identify design, coordination and constructability issues before execution.

Site Quality & Execution

• Establish and implement ITPs, Method Statements and Project Quality Plans.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections for HVAC, FPS and PHE installations.
• Inspect ducting, insulation, VRV/VRF, chilled water piping, AHU/FCU installations and related works.
• Inspect sprinkler networks, fire-fighting piping, pump rooms and hydro-testing.
• Inspect domestic water, drainage, sanitary and PHE installations.
• Raise and track NCRs, conduct root-cause analysis and drive CAPA closure.
• Monitor contractor and vendor quality performance.
• Lead and monitor HVAC Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) activities.
• Validate airflow, water flow, pressure and overall system performance.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC, FPS and PHE systems.
• Coordinate integrated testing of Fire Alarm, Sprinkler and Fire Pump systems.
• Review commissioning reports and test certificates.
• Validate As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties and handover documentation.
• Drive snag identification and closure before project handover.

What We Are Looking For

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

Design:

7–8 years in Mechanical MEP Design / Technical Quality Assurance

Construction:

8–10+ years in Construction / Site Execution / Quality Control

Strong experience in commercial interiors, workplace fit-outs or Design & Build projects is preferred.
