Job summary

NPCI is seeking a Sr. Associate Client Implementation and Readiness to drive technical implementations for global clients on UPI and Rupay. The role focuses on integration, API storytelling, and security with cross-functional collaboration.

Location is Goregaon East, Mumbai; it is a full-time, permanent position requiring 5+ years of relevant experience and strong SDLC understanding. You will work with the Technical Account Management division to rollout new digital products and services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in client implementation or technical account management.
• Strong hands-on capabilities in UPI or Rupay/ cards implementations.
• Experience reading API logs and debugging API issues.
• Understanding of network and infrastructure concepts and SDLC lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle technical assignments around UPI/Cards design and implementation.
• Understand and manage diverse infra setups (on prem, cloud, hybrid).
• Ensure security postures of applications and infrastructure.
• Test lifecycles, read API logs, and debug issues.
• Create and standardize Technical Specification Documents (API specs).
• Communicate with clients effectively and articulate solution designs clearly.
• Demonstrate basic technical project management skills.

The opportunityWe require someone who can operate as an Individual Contributor, with strong hands-on technical capabilities on UPI or Cards implementation. Candidate will be responsible for the integration of key clients/partners across the globe to enable UPI and Rupay Acceptance, Remittance and Licenses. The candidate filling this role should be experienced in technical project management skills and possess experience implementing software and payment solutions from a technical perspective. This role will support cross channel solutions, platforms, and market rollout with a focus on being a technical subject matter expert on new digital products and services

Key responsibilities

1. Be able to independently handle technical assignments, especially around UPI/Cards design and implementation.
2. Have a solid understanding of various infrastructure setups (on prem, cloud based hosting, hybrid models, etc.).
3. Possess strong knowledge of application and infrastructure security postures.
4. Demonstrate skills on testing / testing lifecycles, including reading API logs and debugging API issues.
5. Be capable of writing comprehensive Technical Specification Documents (including API specifications) and creating standardized templates.
6. Communicate effectively, handle client interactions with confidence, and articulate solution design aspects clearly.
7. Should have basic skills on technical project management.

Key skills and experience required

1. Candidate should have a UPI/ Cards Implementation background. Should be technically sound and be able to read API logs and debug any issues if needed.
2. Candidate should be able to understand and explain details about network and Infrastructure.
3. Candidate should have a good understanding of the SDLC and Implementation lifecycle.
