Job summary

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) invites qualified professionals to join our team in Mumbai for a full-time role focused on designing and architecting payment APIs with emphasis on UPI. The role requires understanding diverse infrastructure setups, including on-prem, cloud, and hybrid models, and a strong security posture.

You will read API specifications, create detailed technical specs, and produce standardized templates.

Responsibilities

• Be able to independently handle technical assignments, especially around design and architecture for payment APIs (with a focus on UPI).
• Have a solid understanding of various infrastructure setups (on prem, cloud based hosting, hybrid models, etc.).
• Possess strong knowledge of application and infrastructure security postures.
• Demonstrate the ability to read and understand API Specs, as well as have a clear grasp of development and testing lifecycles, including commonly used tools.
• Be capable of writing comprehensive Technical Specification Documents (including API specifications) and creating standardized templates.
• Communicate effectively, handle client interactions with confidence, and articulate solution design aspects clearly.
• Can play as an effective Technical Project Manager and demonstrate efficient Project Tracking and stakeholder communications(Internal & external).
