Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance in Kolkata seeks a Senior Agency Manager to lead agency sales, recruit and motivate agents, and drive premium growth through strategic field leadership.

You will coordinate with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance to ensure timely policy issuance and smooth commission processes while building productive relationships with agents across East region.

Responsibilities

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll as agents.
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium within the stipulated time.
• Ensure familiarization with the company’s products, policies and sales processes for the agents.
• Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents across class of business.
• Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active vs total agents.
• Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups and strengthen relationships with agents.
• Ensure updating of agents' knowledge on new products and underwriting policies.
• Troubleshoot with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams for policy issuance and timely commissions.
