Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is seeking an Assistant Agency Manager at Bardhaman branch. The role targets Front Line Sales with a permanent appointment and requires 1–4 years of experience. The office location is a physical branch under East region.

The incumbent will drive agency enrollment, motivate agents, and coordinate with underwriting, claims and finance teams to ensure smooth sales processes and timely commissions.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate in any discipline is required.
• Sales or agency experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll as agents.
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium within the stipulated time.
• Familiarize agents with the company’s products, policies and sales processes.
• Identify, communicate and agree on premium targets with agents across various classes of business.
• Ensure a low dormancy ratio of active vs total agents.
• Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups and stronger agent relationships.
• Update agents on new products and underwriting policies.
• Troubleshoot with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams for timely agent commission disbursement.
