Job summary

Dalmia Cement is seeking a maintenance engineer to oversee instrumentation and automation in the cement mill and packing plant. You will maintain weigh feeders, field instruments, PLCs, VFDs, RFID systems, and related equipment to ensure smooth plant operations.

Responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, data management in SAP PM, spare parts optimization, RCA for failures, and driving continuous improvement while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and automation systems in the Cement mill and packing plant, including weigh feeders, field instruments, roto packers, bulker loading systems, weighbridges, RFID systems, PLCs, VFDs, UPS, PA systems, CCTV, EPABX, online MRP printing machines and bag counters.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of Cement VRM instrumentation, Spectrum and Beamer roto packers, weighing systems, and stack monitoring systems.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to achieve maximum equipment availability and plant reliability.
• Maintain equipment master data, maintenance checklists, equipment history, technical documents, and drawings in SAP PM.
• Manage spare parts planning, inventory optimization, and maintenance cost control through effective utilization of SAP PM/MM modules.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence, implement and sustain IMS, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and statutory requirements while executing maintenance activities. Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, and other cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement reliability enhancement projects. Train and mentor maintenance personnel to enhance technical competency and operational excellence.
