Job summary

Jeena & Company in Mumbai seeks a Sea Export Pricing Specialist to source competitive freight rates from shipping lines, NVOCCs and overseas agents. You will prepare accurate quotations for FCL/LCL inquiries and negotiate rates and surcharges to protect margins.

The role involves checking vessel schedules, updating tariff databases, coordinating with Sales, Customer Service and Operations, and tracking market trends to respond promptly to pricing requests.

Qualifications

• Experience in sea export pricing within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Knowledge of international ocean freight terminology and major lines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain competitive sea export freight rates from shipping lines, NVOCCs, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
• Handle pricing for FCL and LCL shipments.
• Prepare accurate and competitive freight quotations for customer enquiries.
• Negotiate freight rates and local charges with shipping lines and service providers.
• Check vessel schedules, space availability, transit times, and rate validity.
• Maintain and update freight rate sheets, tariff databases, and pricing records.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and overseas agents.
• Handle spot quotations, RFQs, and customer-specific pricing requirements.
• Monitor freight market trends and carrier rate fluctuations.
• Ensure timely responses to pricing enquiries and follow up on pending quotations.
• Verify applicable surcharges, documentation charges, THC, and other relevant costs.
• Ensure competitive selling rates and maintain the required profit margins.

• Maintain and update freight rate sheets, tariff databases, and pricing records.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and overseas agents.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sea export pricing within a freight forwarding or logistics company.
• Knowledge of major international trade lanes.
• Experience handling freehand and nomination shipments.
