Job summary

Iris Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and manage automated tests for UI, API, and backend systems. You will collaborate with developers to ensure testability and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, delivering high-quality software across releases.

The role emphasizes strong automation skills, core Java proficiency, and hands-on experience with Selenium, REST Assured, and SQL, in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment in Noida, Gurugram, or Pune.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing, and executing automated tests for UI, API, and backend systems.
• Proficient in building and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Strong knowledge of core Java and testing frameworks; experience with REST APIs, SQL databases.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Mandatory Skills:

API Automation (REST Assured), Automation Framework Creation & Development, Basic Build + Deployment & CI/CD Knowledge, Test Case Creation and Execution, Test Design Practices (TDD), Test Reporting & Risk Management, Core Java, JIRA, Selenium, MS SQL

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, or similar tools ensuring high test coverage.
• Collaborate closely with developers to understand application architecture, identify testability gaps, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable test code following coding standards and version control practices.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure application stability across releases.
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and ensure proper logging, tracking, and resolution of issues.
• Continuously enhance automation coverage by identifying repetitive manual test cases and converting them into automated scripts.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability in delivering quality solutions.
• Collaborates effectively with teams and stakeholders for smooth delivery.
• Adopts a quality-first approach with reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and resolve quality issues.
• Shows adaptability and willingness to learn evolving testing tools and technologies.
• Communicates clearly by sharing testing progress, risks, and quality concerns proactively.
