Job summary

Iris Software in India is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI and API layers. You will own automation strategies, drive CI/CD integration, and mentor team members.

Qualifications

• Selenium, Java, API Automation, REST Assured, TDD, Junit are required.
• Experience implementing automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Ability to define automation strategies and improve test coverage.
• Strong coding practices and ability to conduct code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration tests.

• Support defect triage and RCA for automation failures with client teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align automation with business requirements and release timelines.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD integration, reporting, and test execution processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and maintainable automation frameworks supporting multiple test types (UI, API, integration).
• Define automation strategies and identify opportunities to increase test automation coverage and efficiency.
• Optimize automation scripts for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews of automation scripts ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
• Mentor team members in automation tools, frameworks, and coding practices.
• Create and maintain robust test data setup/teardown routines and reusable step definitions/utilities.
• Own automation solutions end-to-end, including framework design, execution stability, CI/CD integration, and results analysis.
• Produce, review and maintain test documentation and runbooks (execution steps, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding notes).
• Support defect triage and RCA for automation failures in collaboration with client teams and drive improvements to reduce flaky tests.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align automation efforts with business requirements and release timelines.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD integration, reporting, and test execution processes.
