Job summary

Iris Software, Inc. in Noida seeks an experienced Automation QA engineer to design and implement scalable automation frameworks for UI/API testing. You will define automation strategies to increase coverage and efficiency, optimize scripts for performance, and mentor teammates in tools and coding practices.

You will own end-to-end automation solutions with CI/CD integration and contribute to robust test data and documentation. This role offers growth in a dynamic IT services environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in automation testing and QA.
• Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, test frameworks, and programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and maintainable automation frameworks supporting multiple test types (UI, API, integration).
• Define automation strategies and identify opportunities to increase test automation coverage and efficiency.
• Optimize automation scripts for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews of automation scripts ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
• Mentor team members in automation tools, frameworks, and coding practices.
• Create and maintain robust test data setup/teardown routines and reusable step definitions/utilities.
• Own automation solutions end-to-end, including framework design, execution stability, CI/CD integration, and results analysis.
• Produce, review and maintain test documentation and runbooks (execution steps, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding notes).
• Support defect triage and RCA for automation failures in collaboration with client teams and drive improvements to reduce flaky tests.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align automation efforts with business requirements and release timelines.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD integration, reporting, and test execution processes.
• Demonstrates ownership in driving quality initiatives and testing excellence.
• Collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex testing challenges.
• Communicates proactively to ensure stakeholder alignment and transparency.
