Job summary

Efficient Fire Service in Pune is seeking an experienced SCM and procurement lead for firefighting and EPC projects. You will oversee end-to-end procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics, ensuring timely dispatches and compliance with export documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire safety EPC procurement and SCM.
• Strong vendor negotiation and vendor performance management.
• Ability to plan long-lead items and manage dispatch.
• Experience with SAP/ERP for procurement and MIS.
• Leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end SCM, procurement, vendor management for firefighting/EPC projects.
• Plan procurement of pumps, engines, valves, panels, pipes and fittings.
• Coordinate PO execution, manufacturing, inspections, and dispatch with vendors.
• Manage inventory, stores, logistics, and export dispatches.
• Negotiate with vendors and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor supply risks and avoid delays/LDs.
• Ensure materials availability per project schedules and site needs.
• Monitor vendor performance and manufacturing progress.
• Ensure procurement, logistics and export documentation.
• Maintain procurement records in SAP/ERP and prepare MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, QA/QC and Finance.
• Lead SCM, procurement, stores and logistics team.

Job Description:

• Manage end-to-end SCM, procurement, vendor management and material planning for firefighting/EPC projects.
• Plan procurement of critical and long-lead items such as pumps, engines, motors, valves, panels, pipes and fittings.
• Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for PO execution, manufacturing, inspections and timely dispatch.
• Manage inventory, stores, logistics, domestic and export dispatches.
• Negotiate with vendors and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor supply-chain risks and take corrective actions to avoid project delays and LDs.
• Ensure timely availability of materials as per project schedules and site requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery commitments and manufacturing progress of critical items.
• Ensure proper procurement, logistics and export documentation as per project and statutory requirements.
• Maintain procurement, inventory and dispatch records in SAP/ERP and prepare MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, QA/QC and Finance teams.
• Lead and manage the SCM, procurement, stores and logistics team.
