Job summary

Sterling & Wilson in Mumbai invites applications for a Senior SCM Manager to lead procurement activities for ME P projects. You will manage techno commercial offers, cost basis, vendor negotiations, contract finalization, and ensure timely material delivery in coordination with project teams.

The role requires strong communication, ERP/ SAP MM familiarity, and experience in import/export logistics, vendor development, and procurement reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate Electrical Engineer from a premier engineering institute in India.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management preferable.

Responsibilities

• Floating enquiries to get techno commercial offers in time.
• Evaluation of commercial offer received and cost base analysis.
• Contract finalization ensuring zero risk and timely delivery of materials.
• Contract management and documentation post order for technical evaluation.
• Coordination with project execution team for logistics and delivery.

POSITION: Senior SCM Manager

Job Description

• Floating enquiries to get techno commercial offers in time
• Evaluation of commercial offer received
• Cost base analysis to arrive cost to be finalized
• Post technical evaluation report, Commercial negotiations with vendors
• Contract finalization ensuring zero risk
• Ensure availability of required documents post order for technical evaluation
• Contract management
• Ensuring timely delivery of material as per Project requirement including logistics in coordination with project execution team.
• Preparing Procurement tracker
• Required exposure to SAP MM Module
• Required exposure of Import, Export and freight forwarder
• New vendor development
• Periodic evaluation of vendors based on quality, delivery and cost performance
• Payment follow-up with Finance and execution coordination with project team.

Qualification/Experience

1. Graduate Electrical Engineer from a premier engineering institute in India.
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management preferable.

Desired Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication capability
• Sound technical knowledge in terms of various electrical items used in MEP projects
• Ability to develop cost basis for various engineering products, services and packages
• Proficiency in management reporting (using excels, power points)
