Job summary

Beck & Pollitzer Engineering is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities across India. You will drive strategic sourcing, vendor development, and commercial negotiations while coordinating with project, site, finance, stores, and logistics teams.

Required 10-15 years in procurement with strong ERP/P2P knowledge, cost control, and leadership capabilities. Willingness to travel across India is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline.
• MBA in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or Business Management is preferred.
• 10-15 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in EPC, industrial projects, mechanical, piping, fabrication, or engineering industries.
• Strong experience in vendor development, subcontractor management, strategic sourcing, and commercial negotiations.
• Good knowledge of ERP/P2P systems, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across India as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for projects across India.
• Manage procurement of C-Class consumables, tools, PPE, mechanical, piping, electrical, structural materials, valves, fittings, and instruments.
• Develop and manage vendors and subcontractors across India for fabrication, piping, structural, painting, electrical, MEP, and manpower requirements.
• Drive strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, cost control, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage project-specific and cost-center-based procurement requirements.
• Lead the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle and ensure ERP/process compliance.
• Coordinate with Project, Site, Finance, Stores, Logistics, and other internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and costs.
• Establish and improve procurement systems, processes, SOPs, and KPIs.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team.
• Ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted project execution across India.

About the role:
