Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Vadodara seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing of steel, cement, and project materials across pan-India projects.

You will drive RFQs, cost estimation, supplier negotiations, and the P2P cycle, coordinating with projects, stores, logistics, and finance to ensure timely delivery and favorable commercial terms.

• Drive vendor development, alternate sourcing, and supplier performance management.
• Manage post-order activities including delivery follow-ups, invoicing, and P2P cycle coordination.

Job description

Responsible for end-to-end procurement of steel, cement, construction consumables, and other project-related materials for pan-India projects, ensuring timely availability while achieving targeted cost, quality, delivery, and commercial objectives. Manage end-to-end procurement of steel, cement, construction consumables, and project materials across pan-India projects. Handle complete sourcing activities including vendor identification, RFQs, cost estimation, bid evaluation, commercial negotiation, and order finalization. Develop sourcing and ordering strategies to achieve targeted cost, quality, delivery schedules, and commercial terms. Prepare comparative statements, proposal/award notes, commercial recommendations, and obtain necessary approvals for order placement. Drive vendor development, alternate sourcing, supplier evaluation, and performance management to strengthen the supplier base. Manage post-order activities including delivery follow-ups, commercial issues, documentation, invoicing, and coordination with project stakeholders. Handle the complete Procurement-to-Payment (P2P) cycle, coordinating with Projects, Engineering, Stores, Logistics, Accounts, and Finance.
