Job summary

Quantum Integrators is hiring an experienced SAP HCM Payroll specialist to design, configure, and support Germany payroll processes in SAP and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll. You will work with HR, Finance and external parties to ensure compliant, timely payroll runs.

Role involves configuring wage types and PCRs, handling time data, and enabling integrations with Employee Central, FI/CO and third-party systems. A hybrid work setup is offered with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP HCM Payroll Germany and/or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
• Deep knowledge of German payroll law and annual reporting.
• Experience with payroll schemas and PCRs (DE00, DE10).
• Experience with payroll reconciliation and error handling.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SAP Payroll Germany (country grouping 01).
• Support the full payroll cycle including simulations and productive runs.
• Manage German statutory reporting and notifications.
• Handle payroll-related time data and infotype configurations.
• Manage payroll-to-FI/CO posting and cost distribution.
• Support integration with Employee Central, time management, benefits, and third-party systems.
• Perform testing, cutover, and hypercare for implementations.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and document fixes.
• Prepare functional specs for reports and interfaces.
• Support audits and GDPR data protection.

Job Description:

Role Summary

You will design, configure, support, and improve German payroll processes in SAP, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll runs. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external parties (tax authorities, social insurance carriers, banks) and with technical teams on integrations and releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SAP Payroll Germany (country grouping 01): wage types, schemas, PCRs, and feature settings
• Support the full payroll cycle: simulation, productive run, corrections, retroactive accounting, and period-end
• Manage German statutory reporting and DEÜV/DSME notifications, ELStAM, Lohnsteueranmeldung, and electronic reporting to carriers (e.g. Krankenkassen, DRV)
• Handle payroll-relevant time data, absences, and infotype configuration (e.g. IT0008, IT0014, IT0015, IT0057, IT0013)
• Manage payroll-to-FI/CO posting (Payroll Accounting), cost distribution, and reconciliations
• Support integration with Employee Central, time management, benefits, and third-party systems
• Perform testing (unit, integration, UAT, parallel payroll), cutover, and hypercare for implementations and rollouts
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, perform root-cause analysis, and document fixes
• Prepare functional specifications for custom reports, forms (e.g. Entgeltabrechnung), and interfaces
• Support audits and ensure data protection (DSGVO/GDPR) and segregation of duties

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll Germany and/or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
• Deep knowledge of German payroll law: income tax, social security, church tax, solidarity surcharge, and annual reporting
• Proficiency with payroll schemas and PCRs (e.g. DE00, DE10), wage type model, and payroll control record
• Experience with payroll reconciliation, retro runs, and error handling (payroll log analysis)
• Working knowledge of PA, PT, and PY integration

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ECP replication from Employee Central and the payroll process model in SuccessFactors
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA HCM for payroll scenarios and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integrations
• Familiarity with ABAP basics for payroll reports and debugging
• Experience with payroll outsourcing, provider integrations, or multi-country payroll
• SAP certification in HCM Payroll or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
