Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a SAP HR Payroll specialist with 5–15 years of SAP HR experience to support payroll across the US/Canada/Latin America regions. The role requires PCR and schemas knowledge and a strong understanding of time schemas.

The candidate will join a large, possibly remote team and interact with clients and stakeholders in a virtual setup. Ideal candidates have experience in SAP HR processes, release management, year-end HR activities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years of SAP HR experience.
• Experience on at least one support project with SLA constraints.
• Understanding of release management and year-end HR activities.
• Excellent communication for virtual environments and stakeholder management.
• Experience in large/remote teams.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira) is preferred.
• Knowledge of data comparison tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into technical procedures with client success teams.
• Enhance and maintain BI analytics to improve end-user insights.
• Support and streamline data consolidation processes.
• Identify optimization opportunities from roadmap and business challenges.
• Cover SAP HR processes across Core HR and Payroll (US/Canada/Mexico/Argentina/LA).
• Handle Payroll & Benefits knowledge across multiple regions, with end-to-end payroll understanding.

The SAP package within HC AMS focuses on engagements in SAP HCM (on-premise & ECP) product suites. We are looking for people with process, functional, data and technical expertise across the SAP HCM technologies in the support landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience of working on large SAP HR support & enhancement projects in a functional, technical, data or reporting role.

Key Skills:

General:

5- 15 years of SAP HR experience

Should have worked on at least one support project with good understanding of SLA times for incidents, requirements and HR cases

Good understanding of the product release management, and year-end activities (HRSPs, Time and Payroll calendars)

Good communication skills to operate in virtual environment, and manage expectation with internal and external stakeholders

Should have experience of working in large/remote teams

Experience in Agile tools is preferred (Jira, etc.)

Expertise or knwoldge of any data comparison tool to do the larger number of data records comparison for an employee is an advantage.

Functional:

• Work with client success teams to translate customer/business needs into technical procedures
• Enhance and maintain our business intelligence platform to deliver improved analytics for end users
• Provide support and streamlining of data consolidation processes
• Understand optimization opportunities based on product roadmap, business challenges and innovation options
• Experience of SAP HR processes across all areas below:
  • Core HR (Organizational Management / Personnel Administration)
    • Creation of Personnel Actions
    • Experience in writing Dynamic Actions
    • Creation of objects in OM
    • Undertanding of reporting, Org to Org, Org to Pos etc.
  • US / Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Latin America or any other country - Payroll & Benefits (On-premise & ECP)
    • Generic knowledge of end to end payroll process
    • Expertise in writing PCRs in Payroll
    • Worked on year end activities and HRSPs

Note:

1. Candidate having Payroll or Time Management knowledge is expected to be expert in Organizational Management and Personnel Administration.
2. One candidate may have one skill is also good if not both (Payroll and Positive Time)
3. It is good if candidate with Payroll knowledge has knowledge and expertise of Benefits module else separate candidate needs to identify.
