Job summary

Techforce Services is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to lead testing of Salesforce-based BFSI applications. You will design test strategies, write reusable test cases, and drive UAT and regression testing within an Agile team.

The ideal candidate has deep BFSI domain knowledge, strong Jira/Xray/Zephyr proficiency, and experience with API testing and AI-assisted QA tools. Excellent communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• 35+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Domain expertise in BFSI applications (banking, insurance, wealth management).
• Salesforce testing experience (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, FSC).
• Advanced proficiency with JIRA and QA plugins (Xray, Zephyr, TestRail).
• Strong STLC, test design, boundary value analysis, regression & smoke testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements to identify acceptance criteria and testing scope.
• Create, maintain detailed test cases and acceptance criteria in JIRA/Xray/Zephyr.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT for Salesforce apps.
• Log, track, and triage defects in JIRA; lead defect triage meetings.
• Validate Salesforce objects, workflows, Apex logic, and BFSI security controls.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies; estimate testing effort and own milestones.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy & Test Case Creation

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify acceptance criteria and testing scope.
• Design, write, and maintain detailed, reusable test cases, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria in JIRA/Xray/Zephyr.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Salesforce-based enterprise applications.

2. Defect Management & Triaging

• Log, track, and manage software defects in JIRA, ensuring clear steps to reproduce, accurate severity/priority tagging, and comprehensive supporting logs or screenshots.
• Lead and participate in regular defect triage meetings with developers, product managers, and business analysts to assess defect priority, root cause, and resolution timelines.
• Re-test fixed bugs and perform regression sweeps to ensure stability before deployment.

3. Salesforce & BFSI Platform Testing

• Validate custom Salesforce objects, workflows, Apex logic, Lightning components, permissions, and security controls within the BFSI domain (e.g., loan processing, risk management, compliance, wealth management, online banking integrations).
• Verify upstream and downstream data flows between Salesforce and core banking/financial back-end systems.

4. Agile Collaboration & Independent Execution

• Actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
• Estimate testing effort for user stories and commit to sprint deliverables.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of testing milestones within the sprint cycle.

5. AI-Assisted Testing & Innovation (Preferred)

• Leverage AI-based testing tools and platforms to automate or accelerate test case generation, synthetic test data creation, and coverage analysis.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging testing trends, AI applications in QA, and testing process improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 47+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Domain Expertise: Strong background testing financial software, banking, insurance, or wealth management applications (BFSI).
• Salesforce Knowledge: Proven experience testing Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), or custom Lightning platforms).
• Defect & Test Management: Advanced proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking, sprint management, and test management plugins (e.g., Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail).
• Core QA Fundamentals: Deep understanding of software testing lifecycles (STLC), test design techniques, boundary value analysis, regression testing, and smoke testing.
• Agile Methodology: Practical experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to operate independently with high accountability.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI-powered QA tools (e.g., AI test case generators, autonomous test creation tools, or generative AI prompts for QA).
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder) are a plus.
• Basic understanding of SQL queries for database verification and backend testing.
