Job summary

Trantor is seeking a Senior Salesforce QA Engineer to ensure the quality of Salesforce applications. You will design test plans, perform functional, integration, regression, and security testing, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable Salesforce solutions.

The role emphasizes automation using Playwright with TypeScript, Jira-based defect tracking, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1 year of experience testing Salesforce applications.
• Experience with custom Salesforce applications.
• Strong familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in writing test cases, executing test plans, and documenting defects.
• Familiarity with Apex testing, Salesforce configuration, workflows, and validation rules.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar defect tracking and test management tools.
• Knowledge of Salesforce best practices and security standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for Salesforce applications.
• Functional Testing: Validate Salesforce features, custom objects, workflows, triggers, and related functionalities.
• Integration Testing: Verify data flows and interfaces between Salesforce and other systems.
• Regression Testing: Re-test existing features after updates or releases.
• Usability Testing: Assess user experience with new updates.
• Bug Reporting & Tracking: Log defects in Jira and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Performance Testing: Validate system performance and load capacity.
• Security Testing: Ensure data protection and proper permissions, profiles, and roles.
• Collaboration: Work with Salesforce developers, product owners, and teams to ensure reliable delivery.
• Documentation: Document test results, QA processes, and procedures for audits.
• Release Management: Support release processes by testing new features before production.
• Automation Testing: Design and implement automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript or similar frameworks.
• Nice to have: Experience with nCino and Sales Cloud, API testing, integrations, and web services.

The Salesforce QA will be responsible for testing Salesforce applications, ensuring quality, and providing detailed feedback on the system’s functionality, security, and performance. You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, document defects, and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Must have:-

Test Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for Salesforce applications.

Functional Testing: Perform functional testing to ensure Salesforce features, custom objects, workflows, triggers, and other functionalities work as intended.

Integration Testing: Ensure smooth integration of Salesforce with other systems, validating data flows, and interfaces between platforms.

Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on existing features when new updates or releases are applied to the Salesforce environment.

Usability Testing: Perform usability testing on new updates or releases applied to the Salesforce environment.

Bug Reporting & Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects in a bug-tracking system like Jira. Work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to validate Salesforce system performance, scalability, and load capacity under various conditions.

Security Testing: Perform security testing, ensuring that data is protected and that Salesforce follows best security practices, including user permissions, profiles, and roles.

Collaboration: Work closely with Salesforce developers, product owners, and other teams to ensure consistent and reliable Salesforce delivery.

Documentation: Document test results, QA processes, and procedures for future reference and audits.

Release Management: Support the release management process by testing new features and ensuring they meet quality standards before being deployed to production.

Automation Testing: Design and implement automated test scripts to verify Salesforce functionalities using modern tools such as Playwright with TypeScript or other relevant frameworks.
