As the Salesforce Delivery Lead, you willlead the planning and delivery of major Salesforce initiatives for theEnterprise Applications team. Similar to a project manager, this rolecoordinates scope, schedules, resources, dependencies, risks, decisions, andstakeholder communications from intake through release and stabilization. Youwill partner with business leaders, product owners, Salesforce administrators,developers, architects, QA resources, security, compliance, integration teams,and external partners to convert priorities into executable delivery plans andensure outcomes are delivered predictably. The ideal candidate combinesSalesforce delivery experience, strong project leadership, disciplinedexecution, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical andbusiness audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery ofmajor Salesforce initiatives, from intake and discovery through planning,execution, release, stabilization, and transition to support.
- Create and maintain integrateddelivery plans covering scope, milestones, resources, dependencies,environments, testing, deployment, training, communications, and operationalreadiness.
- Facilitate discovery,estimation, prioritization, planning, standups, working sessions, statusreviews, release-readiness reviews, retrospectives, and executive updates.
- Coordinate Salesforceadministrators, developers, analysts, architects, QA resources, integrationteams, vendors, and business subject-matter experts across multipleworkstreams.
- Clarify initiative objectives,deliverables, success measures, roles, decision rights, assumptions, andacceptance criteria before execution begins.
- Manage scope, schedule,capacity, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and changes; escalat.
- Translate business prioritiesinto actionable backlogs, delivery phases, release plans, and team commitmentswhile balancing value, feasibility, and platform constraints.
- Partner with product owners andbusiness stakeholders to maintain priorities, resolve trade-offs, secure timelydecisions, and keep initiatives aligned to expected outcomes.
- Drive cross-functionalreadiness for testing, data migration, integrations, security, compliance,training, communications, deployment, and post-release support.
- Provide concise,audience-appropriate status reporting on progress, milestones, budget orcapacity, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and forecasted completion.
- Use delivery metrics such asmilestone performance, throughput, defect trends, test progress, releasesuccess, risk aging, and stakeholder readiness to improve predictability.
- Promote consistent deliverypractices, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement across theSalesforce team without creating unnecessary process overhead.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience delivering Salesforce, CRM,enterprise application, or technology initiatives in project management,program delivery, product delivery, business systems, or related roles.
- Minimum 3+ years leadingcomplex Salesforce initiatives with multiple technical and businessworkstreams, dependencies, stakeholders, and releases.
- Demonstrated experiencebuilding delivery plans, managing scope and schedules, coordinating resources,facilitating decisions, mitigating risks, and driving initiatives throughdeployment and stabilization.
- Experience working withdistributed or remote teams, including U.S.-based stakeholders, offshoredelivery resources, enterprise architecture, security, compliance, andcross-functional business partners.
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce delivery lifecycle,including discovery, requirements, solution design, configuration anddevelopment, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, releasemanagement, and production support.
- Experience managing Agile,hybrid, or structured project delivery using backlogs, roadmaps, release plans,sprint or iteration planning, milestones, status reporting, and governancecheckpoints.
- Ability to develop and maintainproject plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, decision logs, resource plans,release calendars, test-readiness plans, cutover plans, and stakeholdercommunications.
- Experience using Azure DevOps,Jira, Salesforce DevOps Center, Copado, Gearset, Flosum, Git-based deployments,CI/CD concepts, or similar tools to coordinate work and support controlledreleases.
- Ability to createexecutive-ready status reports, roadmaps, business cases, steering updates,risk summaries, delivery forecasts, and investment or capacity recommendations.
- Working knowledge of Salesforceplatform capabilities, environments, release cycles, security considerations,integration patterns, API dependencies, managed packages, platform limits, anddata governance sufficient to lead delivery decisions and surface risks.
- Proficiency with MicrosoftTeams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI, Microsoft Project,or similar tools for collaboration, planning, process mapping, reporting, andexecutive communication.
- Strong delivery leadership with the ability to create structure,establish accountability, maintain momentum, and guide teams through ambiguityand changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skillswith the ability to explain delivery status, risks, dependencies, trade-offs,and decisions to both technical and executive audiences.

- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM),PMI-ACP, SAFe, or comparable project or Agile delivery certification.
- Salesforce Administrator,Platform App Builder, Salesforce Business Analyst, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or related Salesforce certification.
- Experience delivering CRM, CPQ,field operations, service operations, sales operations, M&A integration,SOX compliance, data governance, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading largereleases involving integrations, data migration, user acceptance testing,organizational change, training, cutover planning, and hypercare.
- Experience working withexecutive stakeholders to communicate delivery health, investment priorities,capacity constraints, operating risks, business readiness, and roadmaprecommendations.
