Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Coimbatore is seeking a Sales Support Representative (Aftermarket Quotes) to join the APAC team. You will determine cost and sales price for pump parts, leveraging technical knowledge and collaboration with multiple departments to provide timely quotations.

You will assess requests, prepare proposals, manage bid cycles, ensure SAP approvals, and maintain proposal logs while upholding Flowserve values in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical or equivalent with 2-3 years in similar role.
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment, material specs, metallurgy, inventory control, estimating knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP tools; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess quotation requests in quotation system.
• Quote for Pump AM requests (spare parts, SPIR, upgrades).
• Collect and assess technical specifications (drawings, materials, history).
• Prepare proposals, own pricing components and technical reviews.

Job summary:

For the Commercial Operations department in Coimbatore, we are looking for an enthusiastic candidate for the position of Sales Support Representative (Aftermarket Quotes). You are part of an international team, working for the APAC team.

In this role, you are responsible for determining the cost and sales price for pump parts. You use your technical knowledge and insight for this. In this role you work together with various departments within Flowserve APAC or our other locations.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing the quotation request in our quotation system.
• Quote for Pump AM requests like spare parts, SPIR, and upgrades.
• Collecting and assessing the technical specifications (drawings, material specifications, history, etc.).
• Prepare proposals in a fast-paced environment, owning pricing components and technical review.
• Manage multiple concurrent proposals throughout the entire bid cycle, from opportunity inception through fulfillment kickoff.
• If more information is required, answer questions from the sales department and/or customer.
• Determining the cost and sales price. Supporting various internal systems, technical knowledge and insight, and quotations from suppliers.
• If necessary, investigating an alternative in collaboration with other departments.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as the sales department, engineering department and planning department.
• Answering incoming questions or ensuring that these are passed on to the right people within our organization.
• Interact with customers / Sales / Operations on technical issues and an end queries.
• Achieve On-time performance for Proposal submission.
• Ensure SAP approval before Order receipt.
• Ensure compliance to update proposal log on a timely basis.
• Adhere to Flowserve Values, Business Ethics & Code of Conduct.
• Support off-site customer project presentations and kickoff meetings.
• Follow all current procedures and policies related to the order acquisition process and provide feedback on the process.
• Perform technical reviews of all customer inquiry related documents while addressing all relevant commercial constraints for the project.

Requirement:

• Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical / equivalent degree with 2-3 years in similar role or any relevant experience of cross functional team in an industrial equipment manufacturer (Pumps & Valves background is a plus).
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and/or rotating equipment, material specifications, metallurgy, inventory control, estimating knowledge, and a general understanding of the sales cycle is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of main IT application tools, proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Power Point) & ERP is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills are both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently and be a Team Player with an international mindset and approach.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
