Job summary

Altraize in Bengaluru, Karnataka is seeking a result-driven Business Development professional to identify and acquire new customers domestically and globally, drive lead generation, and promote plastic packaging solutions. You will build strong customer relationships, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and convert prospects into orders while coordinating with production and accounts for timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in sales or business development, preferably in plastic

Qualifications

• Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline; MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
• 3–5 years in sales, field marketing, or business development; experience in plastic packaging, flexible packaging, or manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, customer acquisition, and sales conversion skills.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify and acquire new customers domestic and globally to achieve sales targets.
• Lead Generation: Generate business leads through field visits, cold calling, customer references, industry networks, exhibitions, and other marketing activities.
• Product Promotion: Promote plastic packaging products and understand customer requirements to offer suitable packaging solutions.
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to ensure repeat business and long-term growth.
• Sales and Order Conversion: Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms within approved limits, follow up on enquiries, and convert prospects into confirmed orders.
• Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
• Order Coordination: Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Dispatch, and Accounts to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
• Payment Follow-up: Coordinate with customers and the Accounts Department for timely collection of outstanding payments and adherence to approved credit terms.
• Sales Reporting: Maintain customer databases, field visit reports, sales forecasts, quotations, and periodic sales performance reports.
• Market Expansion: Conduct regular customer visits to expand the customer base and increase sales.
