Job summary

Hoymiles seeks a results-driven sales professional to lead local battery energy storage system (BESS) opportunities in India, targeting utility-scale storage projects. You will identify tender opportunities, build partnerships with developers, EPCs, and utilities, and steer negotiations through to project closure while monitoring market policies and trends.

• Develop and execute local sales strategies for utility-scale BESS in India; achieve annual sales and project targets.
• Identify large-scale energy storage project opportunities, monitor tender announcements, and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Build and manage long-term partnerships with local power developers, EPCs, investment funds, utilities, and distributors.
• Lead commercial communication, quotation, contract negotiation, and project closing for large energy storage projects.
• Monitor India’s market policies, grid codes, competitor dynamics, and provide market analysis and strategy reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential large-scale energy storage project opportunities, track tender announcements, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.


• Build and manage long-term partnerships with local power developers, EPCs, investment funds, utility companies, and industry distributors.


• Lead commercial communication, technical solution docking, quotation, contract negotiation, and project closing for large energy storage projects.


• Monitor India’s energy storage market policies, grid codes, competitor dynamics, and industry trends, and provide regular market analysis and sales strategy optimization reports.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional sales experience in India energy storage, renewable energy, power system or EPC industry; candidates with large-scale BESS project sales experience are highly preferred.


• Local Indian candidate or candidate with stable residence and mature local industry resources in India.


• Familiar with India’s power market rules, energy storage project development process, and local customer ecosystem.


• Proven track record of project development, client development, or deal closing in the energy sector.


• Excellent negotiation, business development, and cross-team communication skills; result-oriented and capable of working independently.
