Job summary

Fives Combustion Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking a Sales Manager – Mineral Market to drive cement and minerals product sales, coordinating with internal stakeholders and customers to meet targets.

The role requires 6–12 years in cement marketing, strong knowledge of cement pyro processes, and exceptional negotiation and relationship skills. Willingness to travel and lead cross-functional teams is essential. The reporting line is Vice President – Marketing (Minerals).

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in engineering with relevant discipline.
• MBA in Marketing preferred.
• 6–12 years cement marketing experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of Cement Pyro Processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate new enquiries for cement/mineral products and convert to orders.
• Coordinate with technical teams for end-to-end solutions.
• Study RFQs and guide technical rating against competitors.
• Support commissioning and kiln burner troubleshooting.
• Lead marketing activities for cement industry (burners, calciner, etc.).
• Prepare budgets and projections quarterly.
• Review ongoing enquiries with Head of Marketing monthly.
• Develop relationships with plant owners, purchasers, consultants.
• Negotiate commercial terms per group directives.
• Develop new customers; coordinate with consultants for proposals.

Reporting Manager

Vice President – Marketing (Minerals)

Position Summary

Play role of Minerals sales manager coordination with internal stack holders and customers to meet company targets.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Generate new enquiries for combustion products in Cement/minerals industries and work closely with customers for order conversion.
2. Coordinate with all technical departments and provide end-to-end solutions related to combustions in consultation with Head of marketing (Minerals).
3. Study of customer RFQ and guide the technical team to have technical rating of T1 as compared to other competitors.
4. Support to commissioning team for kiln burner trouble shootings and perform the PGT on requirement basis.
5. To lead Marketing activities of Cement Industry like i.e Kiln Burners, HGG’s, Calciner burners, etc.
6. Prepare the annual budgets and RB projections in quarterly
7. Review of ongoing live enquiries and future opportunities with Head of marketing in every monthly basis.
8. Develop relations with Plant owners, Purchaser and consultants to give product presentation.
9. Compliance of commercial terms & conditions as per Fives group directives.
10. Negotiation with client to conclude Orders including Commercial as per group directives.
11. Develop New customers. Approval of FCS name with consultants responsible for Proposal follow up, to get marketing intelligent information.
12. Understanding & prepare the weakness and strengths of competitors.
13. Product Promotion activities like Customer visits, Presentations, Organising Seminars etc.
14. Participation in Industrial Exhibitions/Seminars.
15. Prepare regular status on enquiries/ offer etc.
16. On receipt of order, review it with finally agreed terms / scope etc., and acknowledge to client with comments for amendment in purchase order if required
17. Monthly MIS Reports as required by Principles.
18. Meet the annual booking target as per management commitment to the group.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6-12 years’ experience in Cement Marketing.
• Deep technical knowledges on Cement Pyro Process
• Strong negotiation skills
• Understanding on commercial terms & conditions
• Hand hold on relationship with sub-vendors and minerals customers.
• Experience in managing Mineral marketing business and successful conclusions.
• Familiarity with mineral & cement processes.
• Ability to work well with others and lead by example
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PPT and Adobe Acrobat
• Good communication skills with clients and employees.
• Willingness to travel extensively for commissioning support and sales.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech – Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentations with recognized institute/university.
• MBA – Marketing will be preference
