Job summary

Amor Management Consultants is seeking a seasoned safety, health, and environment (SHE) leader for our Pune plant. The role oversees statutory compliance, fire safety management, and the PTW system to ensure a safe work environment across all shifts and contractors.

You will lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and CAPA implementation, while coordinating EMS/ISO audits and health-center operations, driving safety culture and ongoing regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with government regulatory bodies for Maharashtra Factory Rules and Maharashtra Safety Audit Rules compliance.
• Maintain plant firefighting equipment, ensure servicing and refilling as needed.
• Supervise and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system across shifts and contractor activities.
• Log, investigate, and report workplace incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Statutory Compliance & Liaison: Coordinate and liaison with government regulatory bodies for all legal aspects; ensure strict adherence to Maharashtra Factory Rules and Maharashtra Safety Audit Rules.
• Fire Safety Management: Maintain sound working knowledge of plant firefighting systems; ensure continuous availability, scheduled servicing, and timely refilling of firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, hydrants, etc.).
• Permit to Work (PTW): Supervise and manage the industrial work permit system across shifts and contractor activities.
• Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis: Log, investigate, and report all workplace incidents and near-misses; carry out thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Occupational Health: Supervise the operations and regular upkeep of the on-site Occupational Health Centre (OHC).
• Audits & Certifications: Act as the operational coordinator for EMS (ISO 14001), OHSAS / ISO 45001, ESG audits, and OEM customer compliance audits.
• Training & Safety Culture: Drive plant-wide safety engagement by organizing regular mock drills, safety induction/refresher trainings, safety committee meetings, safety audits, safety quizzes, and Safety Week campaigns.

Authority:

• Empowered to immediately halt dangerous operations and eliminate unsafe conditions on the shop floor.

Accountability:

• Maintain safe, hazard-free working conditions across plant premises.
• Ensure end-to-end Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) legal and statutory compliance.
• Oversee the smooth, continuous operation and parameter compliance of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
