Job summary

Samsung Display in India seeks an experienced EHS professional to lead plant safety, risk assessments, and compliance with Factory Act & NBC. You will coordinate with the EHS team, implement SOPs, conduct audits, and drive training and incident investigations to protect 800+ employees.

Strong knowledge of ISO 14001/45001, JSA, HIRA, and regulatory norms is essential; comfort with data analytics and regulatory liaison is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant safety management with SOPs and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience with JSA, HIRA and OHS Codes 2020.
• Experience in audits and regulatory compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessment, SOPs, and compliance with Factory Act & NBC; coordinate with EHS team.
• Monitor fire safety compliance and conduct plant audits.
• Own plant safety management and policies in line with gov norms.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery loading/unloading and shifting activities.
• Drive EHS training, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Data analytics and uploading global safety reports in the system.
• Ensure safety for ≥800 employees and manage equipment safety.
• Stay updated on EHS regulations and best practices.

Role & responsibilities

• Risk assessment, SOPs, Compliance with Factories Act & NBC, Emergency Preparedness & Response, Work with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) team to align with overall plant safety
• Monitor compliance with fire safety norms, and Audit, Should conduct audits in the plant
• Is responsible for handling complete plant safety,
• Should have good knowledge of Heavy Machine, equipment loading,unloading,shifting activity
• Should have good knowledge on all aspects safety like JSA, HIRA, risk assessment, ISO 14001 & 1SO 45001 standards, OHS Codes 2020
• Data analytics and upload of global reports in system.
• Should have worked in a company having minimum 800 employees.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with as per State & Central government norms
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Lead training and support to employees on EHS practices, policies, and emergency response procedures.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Stay current with EHS regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant and emerging safety technologies
• Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and coordinate safety compliance audits.
• Facilitate EHS committee meetings and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
• Organize and lead safety meetings and workshops to encourage employee participation and awareness.

Manage and maintain safety equipment and ensure proper use, maintenance, waste disposal and environmental compliance activities.
