Job summary

AP Management Consultants seeks a Safety and Fire Protection professional to oversee factory safety and fire protection systems in Tamil Nadu. Identify unsafe conditions and advise corrective actions to relevant departments.

You will initiate procurement of PPE and firefighting equipment, investigate accidents including near misses under the Factories Act, and prepare the annual Accident Analysis Report for management review.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and fire protection systems for the factory.
• Identify unsafe conditions and acts and advise corrective measures to the concerned departments.
• Initiate action to procure suitable PPE, firefighting equipment, and accident reporting tools.
• Investigate all types of accidents including near misses under the Factories Act.
• Prepare the yearly Accident Analysis Report for broad distribution to focus on training needs.
• Monitor permit-to-work systems for hot work, confined spaces and cold work.
• Monitor workplace factors such as explosive levels, sound pressure levels, and illumination as required by department heads.

Role & responsibilities

Overall responsibility to ensure the Safety and Fire protection systems of the factory Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts in the plant and project area and advise remedial and corrective measures to the concerned Initiate action to procure suitable and quality Personal Protective Appliances, fire Fighting equipments, Accident Reports, Investigate all types of Accidents including Near miss under the Factories Act , prepare Reports and sent to concerned departments for corrective action. Prepare the yearly Accident Analysis Report and sent to all concerned to focus on the trainng needs of the workers by the Department Heads. Permit To work Systems for Hot Work and Confined Space and cold work Monitor the work place of explosive levels, sound pressure levels, illumination level etc in the plants as per the request of the concerned department heads.
