Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws and regulations (Factories Act, OSHA standards, etc.).
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the plant.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Conduct safety induction and regular training sessions for employees and contract workers.
• Monitor the usage of PPE and ensure adherence to safety norms.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, documentation, and statutory registers.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure safe work practices.
• Drive safety initiatives like 5S, toolbox talks, mock drills, and awareness programs.
• Ensure fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and evacuation procedures are in place.
