Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is hiring a Safety Officer for its Haryana plant. You will lead EHS compliance, conduct risk assessments, manage PTW systems, and drive a strong safety culture to minimize workplace risks.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, safety inductions, audits, and sustainability initiatives, with a focus on ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Relevant engineering safety degrees and factory safety experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering with PG Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety (Government recognized).
• Degree Holder: Minimum 2 years of relevant factory safety experience.
• Diploma Holder: Minimum 5 years of relevant factory safety experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/automotive/engineering industries preferred.
• Experience in managing sustainability.

• Ensure compliance with OSH Code, Factory Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct HIRA/JSA, safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, including Hot Work, Work at Height, Confined Space, LOTO, and Contractor Activities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead emergency preparedness, fire safety programs, and mock drills.
• Monitor occupational health, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
• Manage contractor safety and ensure adherence to site safety standards.
• Prepare EHS reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leading ESG/sustainability for the organisation.
