Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Haryana seeks a Safety Officer to ensure compliance with OSH regulations, drive a strong safety culture, and minimize risks across plant operations.

You will conduct risk assessments, manage PTW, lead fire safety programs, and support ESG initiatives while ensuring health, environment, and safety standards across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering with PG Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety (Government recognized).
• Degree Holder: Minimum 2 years of relevant factory safety experience.
• Diploma Holder: Minimum 5 years of relevant factory safety experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/automotive/engineering industries preferred.
• Experience in managing sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSH Code, Factory Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct HIRA/JSA, safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, including Hot Work, Work at Height, Confined Space, LOTO, and Contractor Activities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead emergency preparedness, fire safety programs, and mock drills.
• Monitor occupational health, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
• Manage contractor safety and ensure adherence to site safety standards.
• Prepare EHS reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leading ESG/sustainability for the organisation.
