Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety initiatives at chemical plant facilities. You will develop and implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and drive a safety-first culture across operations in Indore region.

The role requires 5–7 years of EHS experience in chemical plants, strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and regulatory standards, and the ability to interpret SDS and technical documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in safety, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years EHS experience in chemical plants handling solvents and hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement safety policies and emergency protocols.
• Conduct risk assessments and JHA with corrective actions.
• Ensure OSHA and ISO 45001 compliance; perform audits and inspections.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; prepare reports and RCA.
• Organize safety training, toolbox talks and PPE awareness sessions.
• Monitor operations, track safety KPIs and report to management.

• Hazard identification in chemical, mechanical & electrical processes

• Ability to interpret safety data sheets (SDS) & technical documents

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review & implement safety policies, emergency protocols, and safety-first culture
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001 & regulatory norms; perform audits & inspections
• Investigate incidents, near misses, prepare reports & root cause analysis
• Organize safety training, toolbox talks & awareness sessions on PPE, fire safety & chemicals
• Monitor daily operations, track safety KPIs & present reports to management
