Job summary

Coreehs is seeking an EHS professional to support the implementation of safety policies across chemical manufacturing and plant operations. You will conduct regular safety inspections of plants, shop floors, and work areas, identify unsafe acts and conditions, and ensure compliance with approved procedures.

You will monitor chemical handling, labeling, SDS access, and PPE use, ensuring emergency showers, eyewash stations, and other equipment are available.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards across chemical manufacturing and plant operations.
• Conduct regular plant, shop-floor, and work-area safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
• Monitor chemical handling, storage, transfer, and processing activities to ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
• Ensure proper labeling, identification, segregation, and storage of chemicals as per applicable requirements.
• Monitor the use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and ensure employees have access to relevant chemical safety information.
• Ensure proper use of PPE, including chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, face shields, respirators, protective clothing, and safety footwear as required.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Talks, Safety Induction, and awareness sessions for employees, contract workers, and visitors.
• Monitor compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements for hot work, confined space entry, work at height, line breaking, electrical work, and other hazardous activities.
• Assist in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment, and hazard identification for routine and non-routine activities.
• Monitor chemical exposure risks, including leaks, spills, vapour release, incompatible chemical reactions, and unsafe handling practices.
• Ensure proper availability and accessibility of emergency showers, eyewash stations, spill kits, fire extinguishers, and other emergency equipment.
• Monitor fire and explosion hazards, particularly in areas involving flammable chemicals, gases, solvents, and combustible materials.
