Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy invites a qualified EHS professional to lead safety programs in a chemical plant near Delhi. You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, and drive a safety-first culture.

The role requires 5–7 years in EHS, knowledge of ISO 45001, OSHA, and experience with SDS interpretation, audits, and incident investigation. On-site work with daily KPI reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Experience applying safety management systems in chemical plants.
• Ability to interpret regulatory standards and SDS documents.
• Knowledge of hazard assessment practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review & implement safety policies, emergency protocols, and safety-first culture
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001 & regulatory norms; perform audits & inspections
• Investigate incidents, near misses, prepare reports & root cause analysis
• Organize safety training, toolbox talks & awareness sessions on PPE, fire safety & chemicals
• Monitor daily operations, track safety KPIs & present reports to management

• Bachelors / Diploma in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5 to 7 years EHS experience in chemical plants handling solvents & hazardous chemicals

Technical Expertise Required

• Safety management systems, RCA & CAPA
• Hazard identification in chemical, mechanical & electrical processes
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, OSHA & regulatory compliance
• Ability to interpret safety data sheets (SDS) & technical documents
