Job description

The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring workplace safety standards, implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The involvesentifying potential hazards, conducting safety training, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization. The candidate will work closely with various departments to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

• Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across facilities.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor safety practices in manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and office areas.
• Conduct safety induction and training programs for employees and contractors.
• Promote awareness of safety standards and emergency response procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑miss cases and prepare reports.
• Ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure fire safety systems, emergency exits, and safety equipment are functional.
• Coordinate mock drills and emergency preparedness activities.
