Job summary

Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division (ITC PSPD) in India seeks an experienced Safety Manager to lead our occupational health and safety program across multiple manufacturing sites.

You will develop and implement safety programs, conduct audits, train staff, investigate incidents, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvements to protect employees and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Certification as Safety Officer per Telangana Govt. rules or RLI Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and ITC guidelines.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and develop preventive measures.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and central safety regulations as per competent authority guidelines.
• Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics and report findings to management.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety management role, in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification as Safety Officer as per Safety Officers rule by Factories dept, Govt. of Telangana will be preferred or RLI Safety certification.
