Job summary

Aeroflex Industries in Navi Mumbai is seeking an experienced Industrial Safety Manager to lead HSE programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safety culture across manufacturing operations.

You will design policies, conduct audits, manage risk, lead JSA/HIRA, coordinate training, and drive incident investigations with CAPA. 8–15 years of relevant experience and formal safety qualifications are preferred, with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by a competent authority.
  • Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and safety audits regularly.
  • Monitor adherence to safety rules and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement hazard control measures.
  • Lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and Permit-to-Work systems.
  • Track and mitigate high-risk activities such as confined space entry, hot work, work at height, and lifting operations.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare incident reports and root cause analysis.
  • Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain accident and safety performance records.
  • Conduct safety induction programs for employees and contractors.
  • Organize regular safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Evaluate safety competency and training effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Conduct mock drills for fire, chemical spills, medical emergencies, and evacuation.
  • Coordinate with fire departments, hospitals, and emergency agencies.
  • Ensure emergency equipment is adequately maintained and available.
  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Occupational Safety regulations, ISO 45001, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain safety records, permits, licenses, and statutory documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and audits by regulatory authorities.
  • Review contractor safety plans and risk assessments.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Conduct contractor safety evaluations and performance reviews.

Job Summary

The Industrial Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with applicable regulations. The role focuses on accident prevention, risk assessment, safety training, emergency preparedness, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Safety Management
