Role & responsibilities

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety practices across the manufacturing facility. The role involves identifying workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with applicable statutory requirements and company EHS policies, conducting inspections and training, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Monitor compliance with PPE, machine guarding, electrical safety, fire safety, chemical safety, work-at-height, confined space, LOTO, hot work, and material handling requirements.
• Ensure safety permits such as Hot Work, Work at Height, Confined Space, Excavation, and Electrical Work Permits are properly implemented, where applicable.
• Conduct daily safety rounds and follow up on observations until closure.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and prepare investigation reports with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident statistics, training records, and statutory documentation.
