  • Advise on plant safety inspections and advise measures to remove unsafe conditions.

Job description

Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Your primary objective will be to minimize workplace accidents and health hazards by complying with safety regulations and promoting best practices. You will conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to enhance the safety culture within the organization. Additionally, you will liaise with management to ensure that safety standards are met, investigate incidents or accidents, and recommend improvements based on findings.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • (i) To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for Safe Work Practices for all employees thus prevent personal injuries;
  • (ii) To implement Work Permit System across the Plant and create awareness on importance adhering to Safe Work Practices.
  • (iii) To carry our Safety Audit periodically and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries;
  • (iv) To ensure availability of personal protective equipment and usage appropriately;
  • (v) To advise on matters relating to carrying out of plant safety inspections;
  • (vi) To carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advise on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers;
  • (vii) To render assistance on matters relating to reporting and investigation of industrial accidents and occupational diseases;
  • (viii) To encourage reporting of Near Miss and Potential hazard and address all those observation to prevent incident/accident.
  • (ix) To render assistance for the cases of industrial diseases contracted and in respect of dangerous occurrences reportable under Rule 103 of the Haryana Factories Rules, 1952.
  • (x) To render assistance on the maintenance of such records as are necessary relating to accidents, dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases;
  • (xi) To conduct safety committee meeting periodically and address all such observation.
  • (xii) To organize in association with the concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure; and
  • (xiii) to design and conduct either independently or in collaboration with the training department, suitable training and educational programs for the prevention of personal injuries and for the propagation of safety awareness.
  • (xiv) To work for obtaining the certification of EOHS, ESG and GreenCo.
