Job summary

VELAN IT is seeking a resident engineer to lead a technical team and ensure 100% availability of critical infrastructure across client sites. The role includes CCTV and access control planning, system deployment and decommissioning, and asset management in liaison with IT and facilities teams.

Prefer engineering or diploma graduates with strong leadership and hands-on security system experience. The position covers multiple city sites with a six-day work week as part of client-site operations.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Diploma graduate preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CCTV, access control or security systems is desirable.
• Willingness to work across client sites and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Able to lead, assess, develop, and coach a technical team and provide technical input to resolve operational facility related problems.
• Ensure 100% availability of all critical infrastructure systems within the technical facilities and undertake strategic planning for required shutdowns and maintenance
• Assist in the design and operational strategies for the facility
• Manage all aspects of CCTV, Access control capacity planning, System deployment and decommissioning activities
• Thorough knowledge of critical infrastructure components that include CCTV, Access control, and other security systems
• Maintaining the asset inventory and management of spare equipment in liaison with the respective groups in IT and facilities where required
• Plan organization-wide activities (setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, developing policies and procedures, and organizing the functions necessary to accomplish the activities)
• Monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
• Track and analyze trends in incident, request and change requests and generate statistical reports for management, maintaining a product catalog
• Coordinating with the vendor for hardware
• Coordinating with the Application team for adding / removing devices from PAM.
