Role Overview
The Head of Engineering will beresponsible for providing strategic and operational leadership acrossengineering and technical services, ensuring high standards of facilityreliability, asset performance, safety, compliance, cost efficiency and clientsatisfaction. The role will lead regional/multi-site engineering operationsacross commercial, IT/ITES, data center, industrial, retail and other criticalenvironments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineering operations acrossmultiple facilities/sites, ensuring uninterrupted and reliable technicalservices.
- Own the performance of MEP, HVAC, electrical,DG, BMS, fire & life safety, utilities and other critical engineeringsystems .
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive andbreakdown maintenance strategies to maximize asset uptime and lifecycleperformance.
- Drive technical audits, engineering governance,SOP implementation, process standardization and operational excellence across sites.
- Lead transition of new facilities/projects fromconstruction or project stage into steady-state operations.
- Manage engineering budgets, including OPEX,CAPEX, AMC, procurement and cost optimization , while ensuringcommercial discipline.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, HSEstandards, fire & life safety norms, environmental requirements andapplicable ISO standards.
- Lead technical teams through recruitment,capability development, training, performance management and successionplanning.
- Manage engineering vendors, OEMs, contractors andservice partners, including RFPs, tendering, negotiations, AMCfinalization and performance governance.
- Act as the senior technical interface for keyclients and stakeholders, driving governance reviews, service improvement andcustomer satisfaction.
- Support business development through technicalsolutions, transition planning, solution design, estimation andoperational inputs for new opportunities.
- Establish engineering KPIs, dashboards andreporting mechanisms to monitor asset performance, SLA adherence, energyconsumption, downtime and service quality.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective/preventiveactions for recurring technical failures.
- Liaise with government authorities, statutorybodies, consultants and external agencies wherever required.

Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Engineering,Facilities Management, IFM, Property/Asset Management or TechnicalOperations.
- Strong experience managing multi-site / regionalengineering operations with large and technically complex facilities.
- Proven exposure to IT/ITES, commercial,industrial, data center, retail, pharma or other critical environments .
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, assetmanagement, maintenance engineering, projects and statutory compliance.
- Engineering degree, preferablyElectrical/Mechanical, with relevant professional certifications inFacilities/Engineering/ISO/HSE being advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation,client management and strategic decision-making capabilities.
