Job summary

SML Limited in Navi Mumbai invites a Research Associate specialized in synthesis to join our R&D team. You will develop actives, scale-up processes, and characterize compounds by NMR, Mass, IR and HPLC.

We seek 2–5 years of experience in agrochemical, pharma (API or discovery), or CRO, with a strong grounding in green chemistry and technology transfer to plants. M.Sc or Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in discovery R&D, API and CRO environments.
• Ability to carry out various organic reactions.
• Green synthesis experience is a plus.
• Scale-up and technology transfer to plants is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop actives as per organizational needs.
• Develop actives based on Green Chemistry principles as directed by department head.
• Synthesize organic compounds and characterize using NMR, Mass, IR and HPLC.
• Scale-up and optimize processes for lead compounds or active ingredients.
• Record experimental data accurately per organizational policy.

Job description

Position : Research Associate - Synthesis

Location : Nerul , Navi Mumbai

Duties and Responsibilities :

1) To develop various actives as per the needs of the Organization.

2) To develop the actives based on Green Chemistry principles as per the instructions from the department head.

3) To Synthesis of oraganic compounds and characterization by using NMR, Mass, IR and HPLC Techniques.

4) Scale-up and process optimization of lead compounds or active ingredient.

5) Record the experimental data accurately as per policy of the Organization.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

1) Very good experience in discovery R&D, API and CRO.

2) Experience of carrying out various organic reactions.

3) Experience to Green synthesis will be a distinct added advantage.

4) Experience of scale-up and technology transfer to plants will also be a good advantage

Qualification

M.Sc or Ph.D (Organic Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry).

Experience : 2 - 5 years experiance in agrochemical, pharma industries (API or Discovery), fine chemicals OR Contact Research Organisation (CRO).
