Associate Research Scientist - Process R&D

Looking for PhD - Organic Chemistry with 0 to 3 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment in the laboratory premises and follow safety precautions.
• Maintain good organization and housekeeping of the PRD department work area.
• Plan and supervise developmental synthesis of the NCEs / API intermediate / target molecules.
• Excel in observation, recordings and reporting skill sets for the scientific data.
• Work as a team and take responsibility with accountability.
• Survey the literature for information concerning specific compounds.
• Conduct feasibility studies of custom products with close monitoring / supervision by research associate.
• Optimize the process on the selected route based on due diligence and literature during feasibility studies.
• Prior to designing laboratory experiments for process optimization, obtain and scrutinize MSDS of all input materials for risk assessment.
• Improve processes for existing products and improve efficiency in cycle time.
• Record experimental data related to process development studies of the NCEs / API intermediate / target molecules manufacturing in Electronic Note Book (ELN).
• Write process descriptions in the Technical Package and transfer optimized manufacturing strategies to production.
• Support the technology transfer team towards efficient scalability of a given process to the manufacturing site.
• Evaluate, recommend new technologies and equipment for synthesis, purification and implement their use in PRD and demonstrate the same to TT.
