Job Description
The Registrar – Critical Care Medicine will be responsible for managing critically ill patients under intensivist supervision, assisting with ICU procedures, monitoring life-support systems, and ensuring high-quality critical care services.
- Evaluate and manage critically ill patients in ICU settings.
- Conduct ICU rounds and monitor patient progress.
- Assist in ventilator management and critical care procedures.
- Interpret laboratory reports and diagnostic investigations.
- Manage emergency situations and resuscitation activities.
- Coordinate with intensivists, consultants, and nursing teams.
- Maintain ICU records and clinical documentation.
- Monitor patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, and organ dysfunction.
- Participate in code blue and emergency response activities.
- Counsel patient families regarding clinical status when required.
- Ensure compliance with ICU protocols and infection control standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement programs.
- Support teaching, case presentations, and research activities.
- Participate in shift duties and on-call responsibilities.
- Deliver safe and evidence-based critical care services.
