Job Description
The Resident - Neuro Science is responsible for providing supervised clinical care to patients with neurological conditions. The involves neurological assessment, monitoring, assisting specialists in diagnosis and treatment, coordinating investigations, supporting emergency care, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Conduct initial assessment of patients with neurological complaints.
- Obtain detailed medical and neurological histories.
- Perform neurological examinations under appropriate supervision.
- Monitor vital signs and neurological status.
- Assist neurologists and senior doctors in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Coordinate neurological investigations such as imaging and laboratory tests.
- Review investigation results under senior clinical guidance.
- Monitor patients for changes in neurological condition.
- Assist in managing neurological emergencies as directed.
- Assist with clinical procedures within the scope of training.
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical handovers.
- Coordinate with nursing, rehabilitation, radiology, and other clinical teams.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
- Communicate relevant clinical information to patients and families under supervision.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
- Participate in academic, teaching, and quality improvement activities.
