Job summary

More Retail in North India seeks a highly execution-focused procurement leader to drive end-to-end fresh fruit and vegetable sourcing across the region. You will bridge farm-level buying with fast-paced supply chain operations, ensuring high fill rates, quality, and competitive margins.

You will source directly from farmers, Mandis, and aggregators, lead daily operations at Collection Centers, and oversee negotiations to keep wastage in single digits while maintaining strong supplier

Qualifications

• 25+ years of pure F&V sourcing, procurement, and category management.
• Proven leadership of large on-ground teams.
• Extensive farmer and vendor networks in North India.
• Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agri-Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

Job description

Location: North India (Delhi / Open to regional)

We are looking for a highly execution-focused procurement leader to drive our end-to-end F&V sourcing across North India. You will bridge farm-level buying with fast-paced supply chain operations, ensuring 95%+ fill rates, superior quality, and competitive margins.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Procurement: Source fresh produce (staples and seasonal) directly from farmers, regional Mandis (e.g., Azadpur), and aggregators.
• On-the-Ground Leadership: Run daily operations across regional Collection Centers (CC) and manage large teams on the ground to execute inwarding and dispatch workflows smoothly.
• Commercials & Wastage: Monitor daily Mandi rates for aggressive price negotiations while implementing tight loss-prevention measures to keep dump/wastage in the single digits.
• Supply Chain Planning: Take ownership of daily demand planning and logistics, navigating regional challenges to prevent out-of-stock scenarios.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 25+ years of pure F&V sourcing, procurement, and category management (Agri-tech, Q-commerce, or Modern Trade preferred).
• Leadership: A strong background in F&V operations with proven experience managing large teams on the ground.
• Network: Deep, established farmer and vendor networks across key Northern agricultural belts (UP, Haryana, Punjab, etc.).
• Education: Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agri-Business, or a related field.
