Job summary

Tyro Ventures in Bengaluru seeks a Manager responsible for end-to-end procurement of fruit pulp, dairy, dry fruits, spices, agri-based raw materials, packaging, and indirect materials for the ethnic beverages and foods portfolio.

You will develop sourcing strategies, build a robust vendor base, and negotiate contracts while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery across domestic and international suppliers.

Qualifications

• Procurement, negotiation, and vendor management experience.
• Experience in agri-commodity, food/beverage, or perishable raw materials sourcing.
• Knowledge of SAP MM/Oracle and Advanced Excel; Power BI is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement from PR/RFQ to PO and GRN closure.
• Develop and manage domestic and international vendor base.
• Develop sourcing strategies for seasonal agri-linked materials.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and rate agreements.
• Evaluate, onboard, and audit suppliers with quality checks.
• Track supplier OTIF, quality, and performance; drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Finance and Demand Planning.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities via vendor consolidation and local sourcing.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and MIS reports.

Job description

We are looking for a Manager who is responsible for end-to-end procurement of fruit pulp, dairy, dry fruits, spices, agri-based raw materials, packaging, and indirect materials for the ethnic beverages and foods portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle from PR/RFQ to PO, negotiation, contracting, and PO-to-GRN closure.
• Develop and manage a strong domestic and international vendor base, including agri suppliers, farmer collectives, and ethical/Fairtrade suppliers.
• Develop sourcing strategies for seasonal and agri-linked raw materials, ensuring availability during harvest and peak demand periods.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and rate agreements while monitoring commodity price movements.
• Evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers through audits, quality checks, and commercial negotiations.
• Track supplier OTIF, quality, and performance, and drive corrective actions where required.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Demand Planning to align procurement with production and seasonal requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, alternate sourcing, specification optimization, and local sourcing.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, ethical sourcing documentation, and MIS reports.

Desired Skills

• Experience in agri-commodity, food/beverage, or perishable raw material sourcing preferred.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and contract management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM/Oracle and Advanced Excel; Power BI is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple categories and stakeholders effectively.
