Job summary

Tops is seeking a Fresh Produce Procurement Executive to drive sourcing of Fruits & Vegetables from regional suppliers and mandis. The role focuses on timely procurement, quality standards, and competitive pricing while coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams.

The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in fresh produce procurement, a relevant degree, and strong vendor management skills to support inventory and cost-saving initiatives at our Khadoor Sahib plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is mandatory.
• 3+ years of fresh produce procurement, agri-sourcing, or category management experience.
• Understanding of local markets, mandis, and supplier networks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Procure fresh fruits and vegetables from approved suppliers and mandis in Northern India (Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, UP, Himachal).
• Monitor market prices, seasonal availability, and supply trends.
• Negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Coordinate with warehouse, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure produce quality and safety compliance; track orders and vendor performance.
• Maintain procurement records, pricing data, and vendor documentation.
• Support inventory planning to minimize stock-outs and waste.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fresh Produce Procurement Executive to support the sourcing and procurement of Fruits & Vegetables (F&V). The role involves working closely with suppliers, farmers, mandis, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement of quality produce at competitive prices while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure fresh fruits and vegetables from approved suppliers, farmers, wholesalers, and mandis in Northern India ( specifically from Delhi , Rajasthan , Haryana , UP , Himachal Pradesh) .
• Monitor daily market prices, seasonal availability, and supply trends.
• Negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Coordinate with warehouse, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure procured produce meets defined quality standards and food safety requirements.
• Track purchase orders, supplier performance, and delivery compliance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, and vendor documentation.
• Support inventory planning to minimize stock-outs, wastage, and shrinkage.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. (Mandatory Requirement)
• 3+ years of experience in fresh produce procurement, agri-sourcing, retail buying, or category management.

Required Skills

• Understanding of fresh fruits and vegetables, grades, and quality parameters.
• Understanding of post-harvest handling and cold chain operations.
• Knowledge of local produce markets, mandis, and supplier networks is an advantage.
• Good negotiation , vendor management and inventory management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
