Job summary

California Burrito seeks an Agri-Procurement Executive to liaise with farmers, plan crop production, and coordinate on-field activities from Bengaluru. You will support procurement alignment with demand and ensure farm-level quality checks, liaising with internal teams throughout the supply chain.

Ideal candidates have agronomy exposure, strong communication, and willingness to travel for field visits during training and after.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in agronomy or agricultural roles.
• Exposure to crop cycles, harvesting practices, and quality parameters.
• Sourcing and engagement with farmers.

Responsibilities

• Engage with farmers from the office to onboard farmers, explain procurement requirements, and collect crop and field-related information.
• Coordinate with farmers to understand sowing plans, expected harvest timelines, and estimated yields.
• Conduct field visits at farms to assess crop readiness, quality parameters, and adherence to procurement standards at farms and stores.
• Support procurement planning by aligning farmer production with demand forecasts and internal requirements.
• Assist in identifying, onboarding, and managing contract farmers and vendor partners.
• Support quality checks at the farm level, including basic assessment of crop health and harvest readiness.
• Maintain accurate records of farmer details, crop volumes, procurement schedules, and field visit reports.
• Coordinate logistics-related activities including harvest planning, pickup schedules, and delivery timelines in coordination with store teams.
• Act as a point of contact between farmers, quality teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations.

About the Position

We are a fast-growing organization seeking a proactive Agri-Procurement Executive to work closely with farmers and internal teams to ensure consistent sourcing of quality agricultural produce. The role focuses on farmer engagement, crop planning support, field-level coordination, and procurement planning aligned with quality and market requirements.

• Atleast 6 months to 1 year of experience in agronomy or agricultural related roles
• Basic knowledge or exposure to:

• a) Crop cycles and seasonal planning
• b)Harvesting practices
• c) Quality parameters for agricultural produce
• d)Farmer sourcing and engagement

• Strong communication skills with willingness to engage in high-volume farmer interactions
• Willingness to travel extensively for field visits post initial training phase

Educational qualification:

B.Sc. in Agriculture or equivalent specialization.
