Ethics Group is seeking a Purchase Manager for North India operations (Gurugram, Bilaspur and other locations). You will own the full procurement cycle, from requirement capture to delivery, with emphasis on right quality, price and timing from approved vendors.

The role requires strong negotiation, ERP procurement experience, GST knowledge and willingness to travel across North India. Opportunity to influence procurement controls and drive cost savings within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering, Commerce or Business Administration with relevant procurement exposure.
• PGDM in Materials / Supply Chain / Operations is a plus and enhances candidacy.
• Experience owning the complete procurement cycle and vendor development.

Job description

We are seeking a Purchase Manager to independently manage procurement for ETHICS' North India operations - Gurugram, Bilaspur, Haryana and other operational locations. The role owns the complete procurement cycle, from requirement and vendor identification through quotation, negotiation, approval and purchase to delivery and vendor performance evaluation. Success is not purchase orders processed - it is the right quality, at the right price, from the right vendor, at the right time, under proper procurement control.

WHAT THE ROLE OWNS

• End-to-end procurement for North India operations, from requirement receipt to delivery and closure
• Identification, evaluation and development of local and regional vendors
• Like-for-like quotation comparison, and negotiation of price, quality, credit terms, delivery and warranty
• Timely availability of materials and services, so operations are never disrupted for want of supply
• An approved vendor database, with performance evaluation against delivery, quality and commercial terms
• Cost reduction through negotiation, alternative sourcing, specification review and bulk / centralised procurement
• Coordination with Operations, Warehouse and Finance on requirements, budgets and payments
• Compliance with procurement processes, approval authorities, statutory requirements and MIS reporting

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Graduate in Engineering, Commerce or Business Administration; PGDM in Materials / Supply Chain / Operations an advantage
• 8-12 years in procurement or materials management, including at least 3 years in independent charge of a location or region
• Proven ownership of the complete procurement cycle, including vendor development and negotiation
• Procurement experience in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, infrastructure or manufacturing — consumables, equipment, services and civil / maintenance works
• Established familiarity with the North India vendor market, particularly Gurugram, Haryana and adjoining regions
• Strong negotiation and commercial judgement; command of ERP procurement modules and cost analysis; sound grasp of GST, taxation and contractual terms; personal integrity; willingness to travel

THE ESSENTIALS

Reports to: Head – Procurement (Group) / Business Head – North India

Location: Group Corporate Office, with responsibility for Bilaspur and other North India operational locations

Compensation: ₹10-16 lakh CTC per annum, negotiable and commensurate with experience

Progression: Elevation to Senior Manager / Head - Procurement (North India) considered at 24 months, subject to performance
